| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Sylvania SilverStar Headlight is fashioned for brighter and whiter light. It has dual filament for both high beam and low beam. This operates with internal gas pressure which significantly reduces the rate of tungsten evaporation. Its analogous non-halogen incandescent lamp operates the same filament temperature with greater luminance and efficiency. This combined effect of higher pressure and the halogen cycle give halogen lamp much longer life.

best bulbs for the money June 8, 2009 Jack Hart (New York) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Sylvania Silverstar bulbs are what "should" come standard in your headlights from the factory. But of course, unless you opt for hi buck HID lights, you usually get cheap bulbs instead (which of course makes the bean counters happy). The result? Joe consumer gets low light, low intensity headlights and finds it hard to see at night.
I've installed Silverstar bulbs in my last 3 vehicles (Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Ford Expedition). The difference is truly startling, even where I was replacing stock Sylvania bulbs. The Silverstars are really superior in every way and light up the road so much better than stock. It's like another world at night where you can see so much clearer and so much farther.
While aftermarket HID systems may offer even better quality lighting, you have to spend at least $150 - $180 to get a quality setup, plus the aggravation of installation. These Silverstars were under $20 for the pair on Amazon - in Autozone they are more than twice that, btw - and installation is a snap. Spin out the old bulb, spin in the new one.
Highly recommended. Try them, and you'll be a believer too.
Silver Star Headlights Work December 16, 2009 R. Armitage Jr. (Northern, New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These bulbs are very bright and help tremendously in the country for spotting deer. The have saved me several times. The old stock headlights are very dim in comparison. Great buy I would recommend them to anyone.

These are the exact same product you see at the store for double the price. Gives off a nice whiter look than the stock Halogens.

Can't go wrong with Silverstars September 28, 2009 Marshall M. Currence Jr. (Maryland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have experimented with many different headlamp bulbs and the Silverstars are far supperior to any other brand. Got these on Amazon for less than 1/2 the cost (includding shipping) than the local auto parts chain wanted for them. Excellent value.
