Teen Island star Justin Bieber's newest single, "Baby" featuring Ludacris is the newest single from his forthcoming album, MY WORLD 2.0. Justin just appeared at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards telecast on CBS-TV and joined fellow Def Jam artist Rihanna and an all-star cast of NFL players at the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam LIVE concert in South Beach televised on VH1. MY WORLD (released November 17th) crossed the RIAA platinum plateau in just seven weeks, for U.S. sales in excess of 1 million units. The album contains his premiere quartet of Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hits, "One Time" (certified RIAA platinum), "One Less Lonely Girl," "Love Me," and "Favorite Girl." Justin is the first solo artist in history to send four songs from a debut album into the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 prior to his album's release. Now plans call for MY WORLD 2.0 to be issued on March 23rd. "Baby" is the first new track to be released from that upcoming CD. Meanwhile, Justin has surpassed 100 million YouTube.com video views (the first 50 million of them as an amateur starting in 2007, posting renditions of his favorite hip-hop and R&B songs). Born in Stratford, Ontario, Justin Bieber is a multi-talented pop/soul singer, and a self-taught musician on drums, guitar, piano, and trumpet. His manager Scooter Braun intro¬duced Justin to the music industry in Atlanta two years ago. There he met multi-platinum superstar Usher, who signed the 13 year-old to his first professional deal and formed the RBMG joint-venture label with Braun and Antonio `L.A.' I'll admit that when Justin first started, I wasn't a fan. But, as time went on I started to become a huge fan. I got My World 2.0, and I loved every song on it. I think that this is definitely a great CD to get if you're looking for pop/dance style music to listen to. I think that this greatly talented, teen-aged Canadian musician will go far in his career and he deserves all the support he can get, including YOU getting his awesome CD.

Some of you are judging this kid like he's an ADULT. Of COURSE his lyrics are going to be immature, his target audience is 8-16 year old GIRLS! And not to mention he's only a child himself! First some of you worry that kids today are growing up too fast, singing about sex, and when the ONE child pop star sings about things he's supposed to, you STILL judge him. I thought the album was very good. I'm 20 years old and I think Justin Bieber's music is very age appropriate for the audience that the music is being sold to. Some of you really need to get a grip.

Certainly no one will argue that this is "great music", but it is what it is. He is 16 - his audience is the 8-15 year old female, what can't people get through their heads? If you like punk or grunge or alternative, this is certainly not the CD for you and I would have to question why you have even listened to the CD in the first place in order to review it. Are these people just defensive because they secretly like Justin? I'm a 37 year old mom and all I know is the kid is cute, his music isn't offensive and my two oldest daughters (13 and 11) think he is awesome (posters everywhere). They have really enjoyed this CD and that is where my 5 star rating comes from. I have to admit that even I have walked around at work humming "Baby". I don't get why there always has to be that group of nay- sayers who want to criticize that which is not to their taste. If you don't like the kid, just don't listen to him.
